Expandable Container Houses
Q1: What sizes of expandable container houses does UMD offer?
UMD offers four standard expandable house sizes:
20ft (36㎡)
30ft (54㎡)
40ft (72㎡)
Compact 25㎡ model
These sizes accommodate a variety of residential and commercial applications.
Q2: What customization options are available?
Customers can customize the exterior wall panels, frame color, doors and windows, flooring, kitchen, bathroom, interior layout, and exterior add-ons such as terraces and gable roofs.
Q3: What materials are used for the structure?
The main frame is made of high-strength Q235 galvanized steel. The wall and roof panels are filled with high-density rock wool for superior insulation and fire resistance.
Q4: How are expandable container houses packed and shipped?
Typically, one 40HQ container can load:
2 units of 20ft
1 unit of 30ft
1 unit of 40ft
6 units of 25㎡ expandable homes
Q5: How long does installation take?
UMD provides detailed installation manuals and videos. A 36㎡ unit can be assembled in a few hours by 3–4 workers. If optional add-ons like terraces and roofs are included, installation may take 3–4 days.
Flat Pack Container Houses
Q1: What is the standard size of a flat pack container house?
The standard UMD flat pack container unit measures 5800×2450×2800mm (20ft equivalent).
Q2: How many flat pack units fit in one 40HQ container?
A 40HQ container can accommodate 8 units. For efficient production and optimal shipping costs, we recommend a minimum order of 8 units per shipment.
Q3: How long does installation take?
With the help of our provided manuals and videos, 2–3 workers can complete the installation in approximately 3–6 hours.
Certifications & Standards
Q1: Are UMD’s products compliant with Australian building standards?
Yes. UMD’s products are engineered to comply with key Australian building codes, including standards for fireproofing and electrical systems. Our modular units are suitable for approval in most regions across Australia.
Q2: Can you provide certification documentation?
Yes. Upon request, we provide full compliance documentation, including CE certificates, fire resistance test reports, and other regional standard certificates, to assist with local approval processes.
Payment, Production & Shipping
Q1: What payment methods do you accept?
We accept T/T (wire transfer), L/C (letter of credit), and other international payment methods as agreed with our sales team.
Q2: What are your standard payment terms?
Our general terms are 30% deposit in advance and 70% balance before shipment.
Q3: What is your production lead time?
Production starts after the 30% deposit is received. Standard lead time is approximately 30 working days, depending on order quantity and customization requirements.
Q4: How long does shipping take?
We primarily ship via sea freight. Our sales team will provide estimated delivery times based on your nearest port and location.
After-Sales Service & Support
Q1: Do your products come with a warranty?
Yes. We offer a 1-year structural warranty for all modular units. Please consult our sales team for full warranty terms.
Q2: What should I do if there is damage during shipping?
Please inspect the goods upon receipt. If any damage is found, contact us immediately. We will assist you in resolving the issue promptly.
